Tianrui is a junior resident at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and the Vice-President of the Alfred Resident Doctors’ Society. He has a strong interest in endocrine surgery, as well as head & neck surgery. Having previously conducted a biostatistics Honours year focusing on large-volume data analysis, the focus of his research in internship has been conducting large-scale database studies using the Australian and New Zealand Thyroid Cancer Registry. This contains information from over 2,700 patients and over 90 surgeons. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and hiking. Later this year, he plans to pursue a Masters of Biostatistics.
