Dr Simon Wilkins (BSc (Hons) PhD) is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery at Cabrini Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. Dr Wilkins obtained his PhD in the biology of malaria in the mosquito from the Imperial College, London. Following his PhD, Dr Wilkins undertook post-doctoral positions in the areas of breast and prostate cancer as well as researching neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease). Dr Wilkins has worked on colorectal cancer at Cabrini for the last ten years. He has extensive translational and clinical research experience in colorectal cancer and has published many peer-reviewed articles.
