Sergei Tsakanov is a Sydney-based general surgeon, specialising in Hernia and Abdominal wall reconstruction. With a keen interest in surgical education, he is a member of the Academy of Surgical Educators and holds a master's degree in Surgical Education. Serving as a Training Supervisor at Canterbury Hospital and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Sergei is committed to advancing medical education. Currently, he is spearheading the creation of a Short Stay Hernia Service at Canterbury Hospital, implementing a Same Day Discharge protocol for routine elective Hernia surgery patients.
