I am Sarah Fanshaw, a postgraduate medical student at The University of Melbourne based in Victoria, Australia. Our research is in the field of sustainable surgical practices. I am passionate and dedicated to advancing healthcare towards more sustainable health practices that will benefit our industry and have a positive global impact through reducing waste associated with procedures and reusing equipment where clinically appropriate. Specifically, we focused on reusable scrub caps in surgical environments, advocating their superiority over the conventional single-use alternatives.
