Dr Rahman is a neurosurgery research fellow at Wellington Regional Hospital and a proceduralist working in surgical clinics across New Zealand. Her academic background includes a BSc honours in neuroscience and chemistry from Dalhousie University in Canada, a PhD in neuropharmacology from the University of Otago in Dunedin and a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct her post-doctoral fellowship in neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and MIT in Boston.
