Rob is an anaesthetist at Middlemore Hospital in South Auckland. He loves the job and the people, but the waste and the missed opportunities in healthcare are confronting. He now works one day a week as Clinical Lead for Sustainability in Te Whatu Ora. It is a chance to move from doctoring one patient at a time, to trying to fix the whole system.
