Graduated with Honours from Baghdad University in Iraq. Obtained experience from practice in the Mid East, South East Asia (Malaysia and Singapore), Australia, Oman and UAE. Master in Clinical Immunology, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Australasia. Director of surgery at Mackay Hospital for five years and Associate professor at James Cook University. At the Royal Hospital in Muscat was Head of Dept. General surgery and then in charge of the Upper GI and Bariatric unit at the same Department for nine years. And most currently Head of Bariatric and Metabolic surgery at Oman International Hospital and Burjeel medical city in Abu Dhabi- UAE.
