My name is Naveen, a surgical unaccredited registrar at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Through my rotations in trauma, general surgery, and vascular surgery, I have acquired a special interest in trauma and trauma surgery. I am specifically interested in the multidisciplinary approach to trauma and the specific roles that surgical, medical, critical care and radiological subspecialties play to optimise trauma care. I wish to submit this systematic review about prophylactic splenic artery embolisation in blunt abdominal trauma for an oral presentation because I believe there are significant benefits of splenic salvage for patients presenting with high grade splenic injuries.
