Dr Megan Emonson is an Alfred Hub GSET 1 trainee currently on secondment to Mildura Base Hospital. She had completed rotations in general surgery, trauma, breast and endocrine, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and vascular surgery during her time as an unaccredited registrar at both Ballarat Base Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Emonson enjoys the diversity that comes with a career in General Surgery and after completing her training, plans to return to rural/regional Victoria to practice surgery and raise a family with her husband .
