Lim Kean Ghee is professor of Surgery at the International Medical University in Malaysia. He was president of the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine from 2021 to 2023. His interest in Malaysia's history has led him to write a book entitled, 'The History of Medicine and Health in Malaysia' published in 2014. He also wrote a book entitled 'A review of diseases in Malaysia' in 2001 surveying the spectrum if diseases report in Malaysia, including the history of the major diseases like malaria, dengue fever, tuberculosis etc.
