Dr Junker is an internationally trained medical doctor from Ireland. Having worked in many surgical specialities such as general surgery, breast surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and neurosurgery her current focus is on medical care of older surgical patients. She has dedicated much of her career thus far to research and has completed a masters in research focusing on major trauma in older adults. Care of the older person in surgical settings is an area of medicine that she is passionate about and within which she aims to continue her career.
