John Windsor is a Professor in Surgery (University of Auckland) and a Fellow of the ANZ, American and Edinburgh Colleges, American Surgical Association, James IV Association of Surgeons and Royal Society of New Zealand. He was an HBP/Upper GI surgeon at the Auckland City Hospital for over 35 years and is now Director of the Surgical and Translational Research Centre. His research interests include pathophysiology of pancreatitis, role of gut lymph in organ failure, fluid resuscitation, pain assessment, gut electrophysiology, and medical devices.
