John Geddes

Professional Bio

Dr John Geddes is a perioperative physician from Christchurch. He is the clinical lead for the Canterbury Older People Under Surgeons service, Chair of the RACP Aotearoa NZ geriatric training subcommittee, education co-lead for the ANZSGM perioperative SiG, and was a member of the ANZCA curriculum committee for the newly formed ANZCA chapter of Perioperative medicine. In his spare time he is finishing his perioperative masters. By helping manage non-surgical complications in the perioperative space he aims to lower the complication rate and length of stay in his patients, and hopes this will also lower their treating surgeon’s blood pressure!
