Ishara was born in Hong Kong and shortly afterwards moved to Auckland, New Zealand where she has been brought up. She currently works as a junior ORL registrar. When she is not working she enjoys dancing. Her dance group has recently performed at TedxAuckland, the Auckland Arts Festival and Auckland Fringe Festival. With dance narratives pertaining to themes of empowerment of women through dance.
