Dr Ian Ong is General Surgeon whom completed his training in Aotearoa New Zealand and obtained FRACS in 2023. He is currently working at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne as a Colorectal Research Fellow while also undertaking a Masters at the University of Melbourne. His research interest centres around the improvement of cancer care particularly in improving quality of life for bowel cancer patients with LARS. When he is not at work he can be found spending time with his young family especially enjoying the food scene in Melbourne, travelling or reading fantasy novels.
