Dr Matthews is currently a general surgical Principal House Officer at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and an associate lecturer at The University of Queensland. Dr Matthews graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University in 2016. She has since gone on to complete a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney and is currently studying a Master of Traumatology at The University of Newcastle. Dr Matthews’ area of interest lies in the bariatric, colorectal, and traumatology fields of surgery.
