Balakavitha is currently a General Surgery trainee with several years of teaching experience for medical students and Interns. She has completed her Master's in Clinical Education, and her particular interests include simulation training and postgraduate medical assessment systems. She aspires to balance teaching and clinical work alongside putting theory into practice to create rigour in summative and formative assessments at postgraduate levels. Her dissertation research project focused on Entrustable Professional Activities as a form of work based assessments withing the surgical field. Outside clinical work, her educator role and translational clinical research, she enjoys the great outdoors- especially scuba diving and trekking long walks.
