I am currently a PGY4 Surgical Registrar based at John Hunter Hospital and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. I have successfully completed the primary surgical exam and am in the process of completing a Master's in Philosophy at the University of Newcastle, focusing on my thesis involving the utilisation of nasogastric tubes in adhesive bowel obstructions. I have co-authored published papers, and I am actively engaged in research with the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI). Currently, I am overseeing a randomized control trial at John Hunter Hospital and Calvary Mater Hospital, investigating outcomes related to nasogastric tube use in bowel obstruction.
