Hailing from Orange, NSW, Alexander Patfield is a final-year medical student at the University of New South Wales who has developed a keen interest in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery over the course of his studies. Conducted at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney, this is Alexander’s first research project. The resulting manuscript “How age affects health-related-quality-of-life outcomes in maxillomandibular reconstructive surgery” was published by the ANZ Journal of Surgery on the 29th December 2023.
